About Juliana

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Juliana Simone (she/her) cultivated her Colombian and Brazilian heritage, amidst the rich tapestry of diverse cultures. Growing up in a bustling household with a large extended family always close by, Juliana cherished the lively weekly gatherings filled with story sharing, family drama, music, cooking, games, and laughter. Juliana's deep-rooted love for storytelling began as she heard the immigrant stories of her grandparents, aunts, and uncles seamlessly woven with playful family anecdotes from her parents' childhood.

Juliana combines her rich theatrical background with her innate musical skills to create a captivating artistic identity. From a young age, she performed in large-scale theatrical productions, including the 25th Anniversary National Tour of Les Misérables. At UCLA, Juliana has explored an array of roles, from the mysterious and sincere Mary L. in The Time of Your Life to the musical life she brought in Utopia Parkway, and the precocious and curious Small Alison in Fun Home the Musical. Juliana showcases her versatility and the heart she brings to each character she plays. Juliana received the Rod Steiger Award for Excellence in Acting, the Ralph Freud Fellowship in Acting, and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Acting Fellowship during her time at UCLA, where she also co-produced the 2024 Acting Showcase. Additionally, she had the privilege of studying abroad at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) for a semester of classical acting.

Juliana’s commitment to storytelling does not end with theater, film, and television. She is also a singer, songwriter, and musician who shares personal experiences of loss, change, and her Latin heritage through expressive and nostalgic folk/rock melodies. Her original music can be found on streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Soundcloud, etc. With almost 80,000 streams on Spotify and performance experience through UCLA’s Spring Sing 2024, Breaking Sound at Adult’s Only, and her upcoming performance at the Viper Room, Juliana holds her guitar in one hand and takes what she wants with the other.

In her free time, Juliana can be found drinking a café con leche and laughing at her own jokes.
