About Kelsie

Kelsie Høj (she/her) is a vibrant and curious theatre artist who is thrilled to be graduating this year from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television! Growing up in Ojai, California as the daughter of two public school performing arts teachers, her love of theatre and performance was nurtured from an early age. As a product of a public high school herself, she knows first hand the importance of equal access to performing arts education and the impact it can have. Kelsie had the extreme honor during her time in high school to perform at the International Thespian Festival’s mainstage as Shelby in Steel Magnolias.

During her time at UCLA she has had the privilege to perform in several productions both through the department and with various student theater companies. Highlights include— The Time of Your Life as Nick, the MFA new work I Swear To God as Joy, The Three Million Dollar Lunch as Peggy, and the undergrad new work The C Word as Georgie, a role she will be reprising this summer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Being able to dive into these characters– whether new or established– has been fulfilling for her and all have been opportunities for growth and learning that she is grateful for. Other memorable experiences over the past four-years include getting to take class with The Actors Gang and co-producing UCLA’s 2024 Acting Showcase.

Kelsie is the recipient of the Jack Larson Award, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Acting Fellowship, and a TFT Acting Award. She is incredibly passionate about the power that theatre can have on the world and the way it can open and change minds.

When not performing herself, Kelsie can be found at the theater watching anything and everything or binge-watching ER.
