Hailing from Houston, Texas, Maci Alexis embodies the essence of southern hospitality, infusing every room she enters with warmth and positivity. While pursuing her education at UCLA, she has distinguished herself through her performances in several notable productions, including her standout portrayal of Jasmine in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Fairview, in its first Los Angeles production.
With a diverse range of acting experiences, from leading roles in plays like The Write Choice to captivating lead performances in film projects such as In Other Words and Orowa, Maci's talent shines both on stage and in front of the camera.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Maci is deeply committed to promoting intersectionality in the creative realm, drawing from her own experiences as a queer woman of color. Her involvement in Black studies and performance research, notably as a Bunche Fellows Researcher at UCLA, underscores her dedication to exploring the rich tapestry of identity and representation in theater and film.
In her downtime, Maci channels her creative energy into various pursuits, whether it's exploring intimacy direction for theater and film, indulging in burlesque classes, crafting poetry, or writing her next screenplay.
