About Maya

Maya Valenciano (they/she) is a Filipino-American performer who has worked professionally in regional theaters all around Southern California. They grew up in McCoy Rigby Arts dance studios and rehearsal rooms, as well as The Playground OC acting studio. Maya has been a classically trained vocalist for the past eleven years and finds a special joy in tap dance, Shakespeare, and jazz music. Past roles include Antigone in Antigone at UCLA, Lucas Hnath’s A Public Reading…About the Death of Walt Disney (Daughter) at the Zephyr Theater, Osadda’s Revenge (Edith) at Pacific Resident Theatre, workshopping On This Side of the World (Jenny/Dee-Dee/Lola) at Musical Theatre West, Anne of Green Gables (Diana Barry) at Chance Theater, West Side Story (Francisca) at Performance Riverside, and Zoot Suit (Pachuca Girl) at Shakespeare OC.
