About Rose

Rose Anaya (she/her) is a passionate and diverse performer who comes from Minnesota and San Diego—where she attended a performing arts high school (SCPA). She will be graduating with a major in Musical Theater and a minor in Environmental Systems and Society. Some of her most beloved works include UCLA’s mainstage production Something Rotten (Bea), UCLA’s mainstage Antigone (Ismene), Cabaret (Sally Bowles), a new musical Dreamverse (originated the role of Eliana) and recorded a cast album, Tick Tick Boom (Susan), A Chorus Line (Bebe), Dogfight (Marcy)—in which she received an NYA award. You might have also seen her on the History Channel in Why the Nativity (Mary), a docu film about the nativity story! 

Rose learned how to sing by listening to Bruno Mars and has evolved a voice suited for various genres including: R&B, Alternative/Indie, Jazz, and Pop! She is also a member of UCLA’s Awaken a Cappella—southern California's first co-ed a cappella group. Some special skills include: whistling, reciting ABCs backwards, boogie-boarding, card magic and more!
