About Zoe
Zoë Buerkle (she/her) is an actor and singer, originally from New York City and currently based in LA. During her time at UCLA, she has showcased her triple threat talent in the mainstage productions of Charles Mee’s Utopia Parkway and Julia Cho’s BFE, where she played Nancy. Zoë has also appeared in the original one act plays Thirst Trap and Old, New, Borrowed and Blue, where she originated the roles of Chloe and Caitlyn. Outside of TFT, she has helped put on multiple student productions. She worked as the publicity director of Anew Theatre Company, and is currently acting in and operating social media for the short film Cedar Mountain that is set to premiere in Spring 2024. In addition to theatre, Zoë has spent her time at UCLA performing with her a cappella group, Random Voices. She placed third at ICCA with her group this February, where she was a featured soloist. During her time in a cappella, Zoë has developed skills in musical arranging, choreography, and ensemble performance that have aided her work in theatre and film. Prior to her time at UCLA, Zoë attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, where she majored in drama and was featured in several productions throughout her time there, including Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, in which she played Masha. Zoë is a multi-faceted performer, with additional experience in piano performance, and an overall musical prowess that she seeks to implement into her acting work throughout her career. As she ventures further into the acting world, Zoë hopes to be an inspiration to young women in the arts, showcasing dynamic female roles and advocating for female artists’ place in this industry.
